SWEET OR SAVORY. NO NEED TO CHOOSE.
What started as side-concept and fast-casual walk-up eatery has now grown to two locations: DineAmic's original walk-up window in Chicago's West Loop and a 30-seat restaurant in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood. Both menus offer coffee, gelato, over-the-top seasonal chocolate beverages, and savory sandwiches, in addition to Executive Chef Fabio Viviani’s famous Bomboloni. A bomboloni (bomb-bo-loni) is a holeless Italian doughnut infused with various filling flavors. The concept name and identity stems from the story of the “Bombo” and the secret recipe ingredient Fabio keeps close to heart. Each location offers unique features inherent to the neighborhood in which it is. BomboBar West Loop's exterior changes based on the season - rotating between a BomboCafe and a cozily heated enclosure. BomboBar Old Town is a sit-down location serving wine, beer, and cocktails on tap in addition to late-night 'pizza by the square.' At both locations, pups are welcomed (outside) for doggie doughnuts, woof-cream, and dairy-free gelato.
You're In Good Hands
When restaurant and DineAmic owners Lucas Stoioff and David Rekhson first created West Loop's Bar Siena in 2015, they didn’t know which concept they were most excited for – the restaurant or their vision for Bar Siena’s side-concept, BomboBar. Fast forward four years and DineAmic has given Chicago another BomboBar location to indulge in in Old Town. BomboBar’s playful menu changes seasonally, offering various gelato and bomboloni flavors as well as the social media phenomenon “Hotter Chocolates” in the winter and refreshing “Italian Ice Pouches” in the summer. Craving something savory? Don’t miss out on the Bombo Breakfast Sandwich or Crispy Chicken Sandwich. BomboBar proudly partners with local West Loop coffee roasters, Limitless Coffee & Tea, and continues to collaborate on exclusive blends and coffee options for patrons.
EXECUTIVE CHEF FABIO VIVIANI
Chef Fabio Viviani has possessed a passion for food since his childhood growing up in Florence, Italy. Although a well-respected businessman in Italy, he was ready for a change and in 2013, teamed up with one of Chicago’s most innovative restaurant consulting groups, DineAmic Group. Starting with Siena Tavern, DineAmic Group owners and Viviani knew they had just begun both a successful business partnership and lifelong friendship. In 2015, Chef Viviani continued to fuel the DineAmic Group brand by opening Bar Siena, BomboBar, and Prime & Provisions with the team. In 2019, together they opened the second location of BomboBar in Old Town. Perhaps best known for his television debut on Bravo’s hit reality series Top Chef – earning the “Fan Favorite” title – his on-screen appearances have propelled him to become one of the fastest growing household names in the country.
